Our Core Technologies & Standards

View all Technologies

Block Integrated Trust (BIT)

Brings trusted computing principles to block-level storage, enabling integrity, attestation, and protection of data blocks at the device layer.

Cyber Resilient Technologies (CyRes)

TCG's cyber-resilience technology for protecting persistent code, detecting unexpected states, and recovering platforms to a known trusted state.

Device Identifier Composition Engine (DICE)

Device Identifier Composition Engine establishes a unique cryptographic identity for resource-constrained devices and IoT systems with minimal hardware.

Platform Certificates

TCG's provenance artifacts asserting Roots of Trust, Trusted Building Blocks, and component composition for supply-chain assurance and attestation appraisal.

Reference Integrity Manifest (RIM)

Signed, machine-readable reference measurements used to verify a device boots and runs in its expected, trusted state.

Storage Security

TCG's architecture for interoperable security on trusted storage devices: self-encrypting drives, access control, locking, and Opal, Ruby, and Opalite classes.

TPM Software Stack (TSS)

A consistent software interface that lets applications and operating systems interact with TPM hardware across vendors, architectures, and platforms.

Trusted Platform Module (TPM)

Hardware-based root of trust that securely generates and stores cryptographic keys, attesting to the integrity of the platform it runs on.

Webcast: What Embedded and IoT Developers Think About IoT Security: A Look at Survey Data

Join Stacy Cannady, Cisco and Richard Nass, Embedded Computing Design/OpenSystemsMedia in a webcast Monday, April 24, 10 a.m. Pacific/ 1:00 p.m. Eastern to talk about the hottest issue today in the IoT and embedded design: security.

With Embedded Computing Design (ECD), the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) conducted an Internet of Things (IoT) Security Survey January to February 2017 to find if and how designers were addressing these concerns.

The webcast will look at how designers perceive security, whether they’re including security in their designs, challenges to embedded and IoT security, and their awareness and use of trusted computing.

Attendees will see survey results and hear from our experts on trending security issues and potential solutions to protecting devices, networks and data.

The webcast is free, however you must register.

Speakers:

Richard Nass, Executive Vice-President, Brand Director, Embedded Franchise, OpenSystems Media has responsibilities for setting the direction for all aspects of OpenSystems Media’s Embedded portfolio of products, including Embedded Computing Design, Embedded University, and various other print, on-line, and live events. Previously, Nass was the Brand Director or UBM’s award-winning Design News property. Prior to that, he led the content team for UBM Canon’s Medical Devices Group, as well the global DesignMED Conferences, and all custom properties and events. Nass has been in the engineering OEM industry for more than 25 years. In prior stints, he led the Content Team at EE Times, handling the Embedded and Custom groups and the TechOnline DesignLine network of design engineering web sites. Nass holds a BSEE degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Stacy Cannady, CISSP, is technical marketing - Trustworthy Computing TRIAD (Threat Response, Intelligence, and Development) for Cisco and a member of the Trusted Computing Group's Embedded Systems Work Group. He also is treasurer of the organization. He has worked in the field of trusted computing for a number of years. As a subject matter expert in trusted computing, his responsibilities require an in-depth understanding of the trusted computing market, including advances in hardware and software security as well as vendor and customer market dynamics. Prior to his work with Cisco, Stacy was responsible for marketing leadership for trusted computing at DMI, IBM and at Lenovo. At IBM, he played a principal role in making the TPM standard equipment in ThinkPad and ThinkCenter PCs.
