TCG to talk trust and IoT at the Security of Things Forum
On Wed., May 7, technologists, venture capitalists and industry analysts will gather in Cambridge, Mass. at the Security of Things Forum to talk about one of the fastest growing and interesting security problems today: securing our ever-sprawling and increasingly vulnerable Internet of Things.
This forum has been organized by the SecurityLedger.com and will feature a number of speaker sand panelists, including TCG’s Stacy Cannady, of Cisco. Cannady has been involved in the root of trust and trusted computing and will address the role of trust in the IoT, key concepts of security as they apply to the IoT and how to deploy more effective IoT security, with actionable take-aways.
The Security of Things Forum (SECoT) is an exciting, one day event that explores the challenges and opportunities in securing the Internet of Things: the explosion of hundreds of millions of mobile, smart, Internet connected stuff that is transforming the way people live and work.
The Forum will brings together executives and thought leaders from the worlds of high tech, academia, government and industry. Highlights include:
- Valuable networking sessions including entrepeneurs, investors and IT experts from Boston's burgeoning Internet of Things scene
- A keynote address by Dan Geer, the Chief Security Officer at In-Q-Tel, the CIA's venture capital arm
- Key industry perspectives on Internet of Things from leading technology firms including Cisco Systems and Intel
