Membership Benefits

The TCG offers several levels of membership for corporations, industry organizations, and academic institutions. These include Promoter, Contributor, and Adopter. These three types of membership offer different levels of responsibility and privilege, allowing members to gain the most value from TCG membership. Promoter membership is at the invitation of the TCG Board of Directors.

General Benefits of Membership:

All members of the Trusted Computing Group are eligible for the following benefits:  

  • Attending and participating in General Meetings of the Trusted Computing Group
  • Reviewing and commenting on specifications, design guides and guidelines prior to adoption by the Trusted Computing Group
  • Entering the members-only Web site with exclusive, early access to documents before they are published
  • Accessing support documentation and materials concerning Trusted Computing Group specificaitons, test suites, IP licensing
  • Participating in the Trusted Computing Group's global expansion initiatives, including the new Japan Regional Forum
  • Including your company name in the members list on the Trusted Computing Group Web site and in other promotional materials
  • Promoting membership with exclusive use of the Trusted Computing Group logo and select media relations activities

Following is additional information about the responsibilities and benefits of each of the availbale types of membership.

TCG Promoter Member - $55,000 Annually

Promoter Members have full voting privileges and have the opportunity to lead the definition and development of open standards based building blocks for trustworthy computing through participation and leadership in Working Groups and Special Committees. Working groups provide a forum for defining TCG standards that apply to specific product categories, such as Clients, Networks, Servers, and Communications. TCG Promoter Members are invited to join working groups, as applicable to their areas of interest and expertise. This level of membership also includes:

  • Permanent seat on the TCG Board of Directors
  • Propose for membership new Promoters (subject to acceptance by the Board of Directors)
  • Propose and approve changes to TCG's organization and purpose
  • Serve on and chair the Board of Directors, Work Groups or Special Committees
  • Attend and participate in compliance workshops conducted by TCG and, upon successful product certification, to generally advertise the same. This may include the right to place links to the Member's product information on the TCG web site
  • Submit proposed revisions and addendum proposals for Specifications and design guides
  • Participate, upon appointment by the Board of Directors, in the activities of Special Committees and Work Groups
  • Technical support with regard to then-supported Specifications and design guides

TCG Contributor Member - $16,500 Annually

In addition to access to Members-only confidential information, including pre-publication drafts of Specifications and internal working documents, Contributor Members may also participate in Work Groups or Special Committees. Contributor membership benefits include:

  • Nominate a representative to stand for election as a Contributor Advisor to the Board of Directors
  • Listed as a Member on the TCG web site
  • Access to any and all portions of the TCG website and any electronic transmissions therefrom via reflector. Includes access to the Member-only discussion groups and the mailing lists
  • Access to Member-only confidential information, including pre-publication drafts of Specifications and internal working documents
  • Serve as a Contributor Advisor on the Board of Directors (subject to election to a Contributor Advisor seat), Work Groups or Special Committees and, chair Work Groups and Special Committees (subject to Board appointment) and chair subgroups formed by Work Groups or Special Committees
  • Attend and participate in compliance workshops and upon successful product certification, advertise the same. This right may include the right to place links to the Member's product information on the TCG web site
  • Submit proposed revisions and addendum proposals for the Specifications and design guides
  • Technical support with regard to then-supported Specifications and design guides
  • Receive support documentation and materials concerning Specifications and design guides
  • Review and comment on new Specifications and design guides prior to their adoption

TCG Adopter Member - $8,250 Annually

Adopter Members receive access to Release Candidate Drafts of Specifications and selected portions of the TCG website. This level of membership does not have voting privileges. Adopter membership benefits include:

  • Listed as a Member on the TCG web site
  • Access selected portions of the web site and any electronic transmissions therefrom via reflector.
  • Access Member-only confidential information, including Release Candidate Drafts of Specifications
  • Attend and participate in compliance workshops and upon successful product certification, advertise the same. This right does not include the right to place links to the Member's product information on the TCG web site
  • Submit proposed revisions and addendum proposals for the Specifications and design guides
  • Technical support with regard to then-supported Specifications and design guides
  • Receive support documentation and materials concerning Specifications and design guides
TCG Adopter Member - $1,000 Annually
This option is available to companies with less than 100 employees.

Adopter Members receive access to Release Candidate Drafts of Specifications and selected portions of the TCG website. This level of membership does not have voting privileges. Adopter membership benefits include:

  • Listed as a Member on the TCG web site
  • Access selected portions of the web site and any electronic transmissions therefrom via reflector.
  • Access Member-only confidential information, including Release Candidate Drafts of Specifications
  • Attend and participate in compliance workshops and upon successful product certification, advertise the same. This right does not include the right to place links to the Member's product information on the TCG web site
  • Submit proposed revisions and addendum proposals for the Specifications and design guides
  • Technical support with regard to then-supported Specifications and design guides
  • Receive support documentation and materials concerning Specifications and design guides
