TNC Clientless Endpoint Support Profile Version 1.0, Revision 13

The TNC Clientless Endpoint Support Profile addresses the devices that regularly attach to a network but lack a TNC client. Examples include printers, VoIP handsets and HVAC systems. These devices, which are increasingly common in the enterprise, creates a management headache when deploying authentication across the network.

The TNC Clientless Endpoint Support Profile provides a standard methodology for authorizing these systems to ensure interoperability and seamless integration of all connected devices in a TNC architecture.

TNC Clientless Endpoint Support Profile will assist network administrators in automating the connectivity of non-TNC systems to a TNC- deployed network. By authorizing all systems using established industry standards, network operators will no longer have to deploy static overrides to deploy network devices such as printers, copiers, access card readers etc. The TNC Clientless Endpoint Support Profile will provide a lower cost of operation and improved security posture when integrating systems lacking a TNC client.
