National Security Agency's Trusted Computing Conference and Exposition to Showcase Trusted Computing Benefits and Applications

Trusted Computing Group's Brian Berger To Address Plenary Session; TCG Experts in Network Security, Data Protection and Authentication To Host Breakouts and Demonstrations
 
PORTLAND, Ore. Aug. 2, 2010 - Building on the growing need and demand for Trusted Computing solutions, Trusted Computing Group experts will host a number of technical sessions and demonstrations at the September 14-16 National Security Agency Trusted Computing Conference and Exposition in Orlando, Fla. The conference will educate potential developers and users about the benefits of embedding trust and protecting data, systems and networks and show Trusted Computing in action.
 
The conference will address growing threats to cybersecurity and will include demonstrations and discussion of the agency's High Assurance Program (HAP). HAP has integrated commercial Trusted Computing technologies to create reference implementations of secure environments to improve workstation and network security. HAP utilizes the Trusted Platform Module, trusted operating system, remote attestation, trusted boot, Trusted Network Connect for network access control and other elements.
 
TCG Board member and Marketing Work Group Chair Brian Berger, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing for Wave Systems Corp., will address conference attendees at the Plenary Session on Wednesday, Sept. 15 in a session titled "TCG, the Organization, Its Work, the Future Plus a Snapshot on TC and Its Global Adoption." Other plenary sessions throughout the conference will address high assurance computing in the cloud, Trusted Computing in Department of Defense solutions, virtualization and the NSA Information Assurance Directorate.

Each day will also feature a number of technical break-out sessions with both IT users and technology experts, many of whom are TCG members. Topics include basics of Trusted Computing and implementations, hardware-based encryption for data protection, network security and authentication.
