PC World Recommends TPM and Self-Encrypting Drives in New Small Biz Laptops
In one of the many buyers guides published at years' end, PC World notes preferred and beneficial features and technologies small business should look for in laptop PCs.
Among those recommended for security: the Trusted Platform Module, or TPM, and self-encrypting drives (SEDs). The guide notes that the TPM can safely store passwords and certificates, while the SED performs its own encryption. Both are considered key for data protection.
