TCG Liaison GlobalPlatform Opens Call for Speakers for 2016 Trusted Execution Environment Conference
TCG works closely with a number of industry groups who are tackling various aspects of security across a range of devices and their underlying infrastructure. One of those is GlobalPlatform, which defines and develops specifications to facilitate the secure deployment and management of multiple applications on secure chip technology. The organization has just opened its call for speakers for its 2016 conference on the trusted execution environment (TEE) conference, to be held in Santa Clara, California on 13 October.
The association is accepting speaker proposals from members and non-members until, Friday, 19 February 2016. Prospective speakers are invited to send a brief presentation title and synopsis, aligning with one of the below areas, to [email protected]:
The TEE is a secure area of the main processor in a connected device that ensures sensitive data is stored, processed and protected in an isolated, trusted environment. The TEE’s ability to offer safe execution of authorized security software, known as ‘trusted applications’, enables it to provide end-to-end security by enforcing protection, confidentiality, integrity and data access rights.
The TCG has collaborated with GlobalPlatform on the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 Mobile specifications. The TPM 2.0 Mobile Reference Architecture Specification defines the architecture for a mobile platform to support a TPM Mobile. The architecture security requirements were designed to be consistent with the Global Platform TEE requirements, and the Mobile Reference Architecture includes an example implementation utilizing a TEE.
