Where Does the Data Live? Learn More at Storage Visions 2012
What started as a small, informal gathering of self-professed storage geeks propelled by analyst Tom Coughlin now has morphed into an officially sanctioned gathering of some 500 storage vendors, industry watchers and integrators, IT managers and retail buyers: Storage Visions 2012 is coming!
Co-located with CES, Storage Visions, January 8-9, is unique in providing the industry a highly personalized and deep overview of the latest in the storage industry, from the newest esoteric standards and technologies to what consumers are looking for in the latest storage devices.
Security has always been one of the conference's most closely watched topics. As we have since the early days, TCG will play an active role in leading discussion about issues with today's data protection and what to expect in the future.
Session B1, "Protecting What We Have," on Sunday, January 8 with some blue-chip industry participants including Jorge Campello, senior manager at Hitachi GST and chair of TCG's Storage Work Group; David Duncan of Imation; Aidan Herbert, advanced research at Wave Systems; Drew Meyer, senior director of marketing, NETGEAR; and Ben Thiel, Micron. Michael Willett of Samsung and TCG will moderate the session. Panelists will talk about security of stored content with an emphasis on security of data on mobile devices.
TCG also will host several demos of self-encrypting drives (SEDs) based on TCG specifications. More soon on these demos!
