Questions on SEDs Answered - A Recap from the October 5 Webcast on Adoption of Self-Encrypting Drives with Dr. Tom Coughlin
Several weeks ago, TCG hosted a webcast featuring Dr. Tom Coughlin, Coughlin Associates, to preview new research on self-encrypting drive adoption and forecast. This is the first time any such research has been conducted, and some very interesting results came out of it. For example, within just a few years, most HDDs will be self-encrypting, as will most SSDs.
