Trusted Computing Group Members Show Today's Security Solutions at September NSA Trusted Computing Conference and Exposition

by TCG in Action

While it might not rival the twists and turns of the nearby Disney and Universal Studios attractions, September's  National Security Agency (NSA) Trusted Computing Conference and Expo will offer a veritable amusement park's worth of demonstrations of how Trusted Computing solutions can be integrated and used in real enterprises.  These demonstrations will be hosted by a long list of TCG members and incorporate the core concept of Trusted Computing: the hardware root of trust, which has proven demonstrably more secure than a variety of software approaches.

In Booth #401 on the expo floor, Absolute Software, Byres Security, Fritz Technologies, Infoblox, Juniper Networks, Lumeta, Microsoft, NCP, Samsung, Sypris Electronics, Wave Systems and WinMagic will show a variety of solutions. All are real products, shipping today and many widely implemented. Since this is security, we can't always talk openly about who is using this stuff, but rest assured that many organizations are protecting their data, networks and systems.

A sampling of demos finds management solutions for self-encrypting drives, security solutions for vulnerable SCADA and process control systems, securing cloud resources, preventing data leakage, ensuring systems connecting to a network are healthy, mobile device security and remote office securing. Many incorporate more than one TCG specification or technology, and many also demonstrate interoperability of products from different vendors but based on the same specs.
