Trusted Computing Group Expands Outreach to India; Sponsors IT Security Event
With its membership coming from all corners of the globe, Trusted Computing Group has long been a "global" organization. We've participated for years in a number of educational conferences and programs, including RSA Europe, InfoSecurity, ISSE, COSAC, TERENA and many others in Europe, Asia and even the Middle East. Our member meetings are a veritable United Nations of security experts pooling their knowledge to create TCG specifications that protect users' data, systems and networks. And in the last few years, TCG has formed regional forums in Japan and China.
Now, TCG is working to help IT users and technology providers in India learn more about Trusted Computing. India of course represents one of the world's largest IT markets. In previous years, TCG has spoken at Interop Mumbai, but for the first time, the organization will have a big presence at one of the country's leading IT security events: TCG been invited to participate in the Information Security Summit 2010 in Chennai, India, December 2-3, 2010. TCG is a platinum sponsor of the event.
Hosted by the Data Security Council of India (DSCI) and NASSCOM, India's premier trade body for the IT industry, the event will include a number of presentations, panels and demonstrations of new information technologies and products.
TCG Board Member and Marketing Work Group Chairman Brian Berger, Wave Systems, will address attendees in a session, "Securing Data & Systems with Trusted Computing Now and in the Future," on December 2, 2010, 11:30 a.m. - 11:50 a.m.
