PC Client Work Group PC Client Specific TPM Interface Specification (TIS), Version 1.2
The TCG architecture specifications define a TPM for use on any non-platform specific platform. However, due to the requirements to support Dynamic Locality features specific to the PC Client are necessary for the TPM. These PC Client features are defined in the section.
This document is a living product of the Data Migration Task Force of the Infrastructure Workgroup (IWG). It is intended for those interested in understanding or developing interoperable Migration Services for TCG compliant platforms. The detailed specification portions of this document will eventually be incorporated into actual specification documents produced and published by the IWG.

As the transition to trusted computing implementations occur, participating entities have the need to verify the security properties and associated integrity of keys which are used to authorize and authenticate participants in multi-party transactions. It is also desirable to create this assertion in a manner which seamlessly integrates into existing infrastructures.
The TCG Infrastructure Working Group (IWG) has defined a “reference” architecture aimed at existing and new infrastructure technologies having a goal of improving interoperability among systems containing TCG technology.

This document is an industry specification that enables trust in computing platforms in general. This specification defines a trusted Subsystem that is an integral part of each platform, and provides functions that can be used by enhanced operating systems and applications. The Subsystem employs cryptographic methods when establishing trust, and while this does not in itself convert a platform into a secure computing environment, it is a significant step in that direction.
